Natalie Pang

Natalie Pang is a Los Angeles-based pianist, music theorist, educator, and composer. She currently serves as the Coach-Accompanist and Piano/Music Theory Instructor at Los Angeles Valley College, as well as a staff pianist at the Colburn School. Driven by a commitment to supporting emerging artists, she co-founded and serves as the Artistic and Media Director of the Off The Dock Chamber Festival in Skaneateles, NY, which launched in 2023. As a passionate collaborator, she frequently accompanies instrumentalists, vocalists, and choirs throughout the Los Angeles area.


With over ten years of teaching experience, Natalie instructs students of all ages in piano, guitar, voice, music theory, history, sight-singing, and conservatory placement programs. She earned her Master’s degrees in Piano Performance and Music Theory Pedagogy from the Eastman School of Music in 2023, following a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance and Music Theory in 2016. During her studies, she worked under the guidance of Alexander Kobrin and Rebecca Penneys, and she remains an active member of Pi Kappa Lambda.


As a decorated performer, Natalie has won prizes at the Canadian Music Competition, Crescendo International Music Festival, and the Montreal Classical Music Festival, performing recitals across both the United States and Canada. Her academic contributions include research presented at the 150th Anniversary of Scriabin Conference in Reading, UK, focusing on the "flight topic" of Scriabin’s 4th sonata. Beyond the classical realm, she is an accomplished songwriter, creating viral hits for "Pixel Playhouse" and winning the 2023 "If All of Rochester Wrote the Same Song" competition. In her free time, she enjoys running, biking, and scootering, and is currently learning to play the theremin.
