Joe Hagen is a multi-instrumentalist, producer, and entrepreneur dedicated to centering community around the creation and culture of music. Based in Los Angeles, Joe is the founder of Joe Hagen Music, LLC, a production studio serving a global roster of clients across the classical, pop, and film genres.
Artistry & Impact
A violist and composer by trade, Joe’s work has reached a massive digital audience, with his productions and compositions surpassing 100 million streams. His notable projects include:
Digital Innovation: Producing and mastering classical collections for YouTube creators Ludwig and Jschlatt, providing high-quality, copyright-free music for the streaming community.
Composition: Scoring orchestral musicals for the viral channel Pixel Playhouse and the award-winning documentary A Castle for Kyiv, which has been featured in festivals from Cannes to Berlin.
Philanthropy: Co-producing the "HS Sessions" 24-hour livestream, which raised over $140,000 for young adult mental health and suicide prevention.
Performance & Pedagogy
Joe’s passion for chamber music began in Skaneateles, NY, where he was inspired by the world-renowned Skaneateles Festival. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from the Eastman School of Music and a Master’s from the Beal Institute, studying under industry giants such as Philip Ying, Jeff Beal, and Mark Watters.
As a performer, Joe is an active member of the Riverside Symphony and the San Bernardino Symphony Orchestra, performing world premieres of major film scores and appearing as a featured performer at high-profile events like The Streamer Awards.

By founding the Off The Dock Chamber Festival, Joe is fulfilling a lifelong dream of creating a platform for world-class collaboration and sharing the power of live performance with the community.
