Alisha Govindaraj

A promising young artist, Alisha Govindaraj has already performed across three continents. Born in Buffalo, NY, Alisha began her studies at age three at Eastman's Pre-College School of Music before commencing full-time studies with Professor George Taylor, Artist Faculty. Highlights from recent seasons include her South Asian debut at the Bangalore International Center, appearances at the Euro Arts Music Festival in Poland, and a Polish orchestral debut with members of the Szczecin Festival Philharmonic Orchestra. Alisha has spent summers at the Meadowmount School of Music under Ann Setzer of The Juilliard School and has played for many renowned artists. She was recently honored by the Town of Amherst, NY for her dedication to the classical performing arts.
