Natalie Pang

Piano

Natalie Pang is a Los-Angeles based performer, collaborative pianist and educator. Natalie is a graduate of the Eastman School of Music, where she completed her Masters of Music in Piano Performance and Master of Arts in Music Theory Pedagogy, studying with internationally-renowned pianists Alexander Kobrin and Rebecca Penneys. She is a member of the honorary music society Pi Kappa Lambda. Currently, she is piano accompanist and coach at Los Angeles Valley College, as well as staff pianist at the Colburn School. 


Natalie is also Co-Founder and Artistic and Media Director of Off The Dock Chamber Festival in Skaneateles, NY, a music festival founded in 2023 with the aim of providing a platform for emerging artists and young professionals. As a pianist, Natalie has been first prize-winner of competitions such as the National Finals of the Canadian Music Competition, Crescendo International Music Festival, and Montreal Classical Music Festival, and has given solo recitals in venues across the United States and Canada.  Natalie is also a passionate teacher and has over ten years’ of experience working with students of all ages and levels in Montreal, QC, Rochester, NY and Los Angeles, CA in performance, music theory, sight singing, and music history. As a music theorist, she has conducted research in topic theory, semiology, and underrepresented composers, and presented her paper, “Performing the Flight Topic in Scriabin’s Fourth Sonata” at the 150th Anniversary of Scriabin Conference held in Reading, UK. Natalie enjoys songwriting in her spare time, and has composed viral hits for the Youtube/Tiktok production “Pixel Playhouse” in shorts and full video format. She was also a winner of the 2023 season of the songwriting contest “If All of Rochester Wrote the Same Song”, featured in performance at the JCC Centerstage in Rochester, NY.
