Born in Italy and based near Syracuse, NY, Sean Penzo is a versatile composer, cellist, and writer. A co-founder of the nonprofit East Zodiac, Sean’s compositions have been performed internationally by ensembles such as the Akropolis Reed Quintet and Quartetto Zuena. He holds a Master’s in Music Composition and studied under mentors including Keith Fitch and Rob Deemer. Equally dedicated to performance, Sean is a frequent collaborator and studio musician, working with artists like Todd Hobin and The Junk Experiment. Whether arranging remotely for global clients or premiering new works locally, Sean bridges the gap between classical tradition and modern collaboration.
