Jimmy Drancsak

NYC-based violinist, violist, and fiddler Jimmy Drancsak specializes in the intersection of historically-informed performance and American fiddle traditions. He has performed globally with premier ensembles including The English Concert and Les Arts Florissants, sharing the stage with icons like Paul Simon and Rhiannon Giddens. As a co-founder of the Juilliard Fiddle Club and a founding member of the New Amsterdam String Band, Jimmy is dedicated to rote-learning and improvisation. A graduate of The Juilliard School and SUNY Fredonia, his career seamlessly blends 18th-century repertoire with North American folk styles.
