Brian Gadbow

Brian Gadbow is a Central New York cellist and chamber musician known for his emotive performances and technical versatility. Originally from Whitesboro, NY, he maintains an active performance schedule that bridges local community engagement with national concert stages.
His performance credits include solo debuts with the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra and appearances at prestigious venues such as the Kennedy Center, the Baker-Baum Concert Hall, and as a member of the Abeo Quartet. A former winner of the Skaneateles Festival’s Robinson Award, he has performed extensively with the Off The Dock Chamber Festival and served as principal cellist for both the Eastman Philharmonia and the Eastman School Symphony Orchestra.
A graduate of the Eastman School of Music, Gadbow earned his Master’s degree from the University of Delaware, where he served as a Graduate String Quartet in Residence. He has received mentorship from the Calidore String Quartet and began his foundational studies under Greg Wood of the Syracuse Symphony.
He currently performs as a soloist and ensemble member throughout Central New York and the United States, continuing to contribute to the vibrant musical life of the region.
